From 19th of February onwards, Security Tamper Evident Bags (STEBs) from
U.S. and Canada will be accepted by EU.

If STEBs are used, the amount of liquids/gels is not limited.

Liquids and gels purchased at duty free stores at airports in U.S. and
Canada and placed in a STEBs in accordance with ICAO standards will be
accepted through transfer security screening at our hub in KEF. Note: STEBs
for onboard sales have been ordered and are expected to be in place by
05MAR10. Until then, transfer pax will be advised by cabin crew to hold on
liquids and gels purchases in Saga Shop until the second flight after
departing the hub. This change does not affect pax to U.S. and Canada,
since all pax must enter the country upon arrival, making the use of STEBs
onboard KEF-USA flights superfluous.

STEBs are used at duty free stores, in security-restricted areas, after
screening. They are never accepted at the original screening point (prior
to entering the security-restricted area) but can be accepted at transfer
screening points thereafter, if allowed by the applicable authorities. They
are specifically designed for the purpose of facilitating travel with duty
free liquids and gels through different countries with differing regulatory
requirements.

As usual, liquids and gels may still also be presented in 100ml containers
fitting in a 1litre resealable plastic bag.
